Great product, but no promo

If you have been dead the last few weeks, then you may not have heard about the new product from Stomper called F5. They did a launch a few weeks ago with great prelaunch videos and great proof that their product works.

Well, their product worked, but seems that their launch didn’t work very well as they quickly took it off the market and relaunched it again yesterday with a new salesletter and a new installment plan.

With the power of Stomper behind any product and all of their ‘guru’ friends to help push it, the original salesletter must have converted extremely badly in order for them to have to pull it.

At $2.5k a pop, you don’t have to sell many in order to arrive in profit even after paying Lemberg and the affiliates their cut. But obviously something went wrong (very) – although I may be wrong and have misjudged the whole thing…no insider info here.

There is actually something really sad about the whole thing though… it’s probably one of the best products that I have ever seen. Continue reading Great product, but no promo

(rant) Big gurus crap marketing

Hmm. I feel a rant coming on….

I hope that it’s educational rather than just ranting for rants sake.

But something really has been bothering me recently so I feel it is about time to let off a bit of steam.

Although it probably applies in most niches, in this particular case it is applying to the Internet Marketing niche as this is the place where it is really starting to bother me.

Let me start by saying that in no way do I think that I am one of the biggest affiliate marketers in the niche, but as I have made a consistent monthly 5 figures in sales as an affiliate for the last few years, I am able to help even the biggest marketers shift some product.

So, what’s my point? Continue reading (rant) Big gurus crap marketing

Damn That Launch!

I’m not sure about you, but I am often very skeptical when a new product is launched that feels very similar to a previous one.

How many “How to use Adwords” products can you have?

Have you had your fill with SEO or traffic products?

Are you interested in purchasing another product connected with listbuilding or recruiting JV partners?

I realize that each may have some info in it that another doesn’t have, but unless you have actually put into action all of the tactics from a previous one, then it is doubtful that you actually need another.

The Sequel
———-

In Hollywood, sequels are rarely successful even when the first film has been a blockbuster. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones and more recently some of the action hero films, but that is generally the case.

In the internet marketing arena, the opposite seems to be true. Just in the last year, we have had: Continue reading Damn That Launch!

Guest Post – Gauher Chaudhry

I was going through the results of the survey that I took of my Cool Cash Ezine readers a few months ago and I was surprised by the number of comments from readers writing about how much they hate Internet marketing gurus.

I do agree that valuable content coming from the big IM gurus in their emails has dropped drastically over the last few years.

Now, it seems that it is a non-stop pitch fest of one product launch to the next by the top dogs in almost all their emails these days.

But is that really why you hate IM gurus?

Is it because they talk about how much absurd money they make every month that ticks you off?

Is it because they seem to be a close knit group that promotes the hell out of each other’s stuff?

I started drilling the survey results closely and noticed that the negative comments were coming from the readers who indicated that they were making less than $1,000 per year from their online activities.

So my question really is, do you hate IM gurus because they are successful and you are not? Continue reading Guest Post – Gauher Chaudhry

Three Wise Men – Part 1

I really did catch a lot of grief from my blog post the other day at:

http://www.shmoozewithben.com/dreams/stop-chasing-the-dream

but I can handle that.

What did cause my blood to boil though was the negativity that I felt in the comments.

There was an overwhelming feeling that people have been screwed time and time again both emotionally and financially. That really upset me. You see, I don’t think that the people who made those comments are naive. What I think the problem is, is that everyone needs a direction to follow and it is difficult to know who to follow.

I have been in this business for quite a few years now, so have been able to sort out the chaff from the barley.

We are all in the business to make money, and I don’t see anything wrong with that, but what I also like to see are people with truth, honesty and integrity.

I thought that what I would do in this post is tell you about a few people in IM that I admire and why. There are many more, but let’s save those for another day.

(In no particular order) Continue reading Three Wise Men – Part 1
