Going to do something today which I haven’t done for…well…ever.

I’m going to sell one of my profit making sites via this blog. The reason I am not doing it via Flippa or another market please is because I would have to reveal the URL which I feel is unfair to the new owner.

It is an autoblog that is also indexed in Google News. What this means, is that it gets huge amounts of traffic without doing anything. It is using the wprobot plugin. A licence will have to be purchased by the purchaser (under $100).

I want to be as transparent as possible, so please note the following:

1. At any point, the site could be deindexed by Google News. I would be surprised if this were to happen as it has been going for about 3 months now, however this is a risk.

2. I am no expert on adSense’s view towards autoblogs. As this site is currently monetized mainly by adSense, if this site were banned then it would rub out a lot of the present income.

3. Any bids are only to be made once you have understood the previous 2 notes. Feel free to ask more in the comments if it is unclear as all sales are final.

Please also note:

1. In order to secure this auction, the winning bidder will have to pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 by Paypal to me and then the remainder will be paid through Escrow.com

2. If necessary, I am happy to have the final transfer to the winning bidder conditional on them having their adSense code on the site during the inspection period. Obviously, this depends on the winning bidder

3. The URL for this site has never been given out publicly and won’t ever be announced by myself or my company. (If I have inadvertently left it in a screenshot, then please let me know). This is not hosted on a host where I have any other site and it has had private registration from the time that I have purchased the domain name (over 3 years)

4. It is suggested that a VPN or dedicated server is used for this domain. You are free to continue using and paying my host. I will also move this site over to your host if need be.

Earnings

The earnings from Shopzilla have been around $30 for this period.

I am unsure of the earnings from Clickbank as I am not using a separate account. However, I can definitely confirm around $100 from this site from CB.

As you can see from the following screenshot, the site is earning around 8 pounds a day from adSense. This is approximately $12.58

Since 29th August, it has earned 431.35 Pounds from adSense which is approximately $678.67

The following are screenshots for statcounter and google analytics for the same dates. Once again, any data has only been blanked out for privacy.

I have tried to include as much information as I would want in order to make an informed decision, although please feel free to ask if you want any more info.

My solution for procrastination

As I sat down to write this email, I remembered the above quotation from Steve Martin. Not only does it apply to me when trying to write a salesletter or an email, but also in many aspects of my life.

Writer’s block is called procrastination which is also another form in my opinion of writer’s block.

Can I be so bold as to make the assumption that it also applies to you?

The Hello World Post

Felt that I was well in the market for a new blog, so just set this up. Not sure I like the coloring in particular, so will need your feedback on that one. My old blog is now an ex-blog (in the words of Monty Python), so you will be unable to clarify any more, but will have to shmooze instead.

I felt that was much more friendly…

So the point of this blog is really to try and give out as much info as possible on things that I discover during the day or little tweaks which will help you in order to be more successful at internet marketing. I want to make a lot more videos, so watch out for that also.

I thought that it would be appropriate to just explain the basics of this blog, so that if you want to, then you can copy the general layout. Any WordPress experts, please feel free to tell me in comments that I have done something wrong…

I have kept fairly thin on the plugins so far. What I have installed are:

1. Askimet to try and stop spam comments. As it is already in WordPress, all that it takes is to activate it and enter your WordPress API which you will need to sign up for.

2. Kimili . This is a handly little plugin for showing videos on your blog. Although it may have changed in the latest version of WordPress, it is fairly hard to display camtasia on your blogs, so this helps (and it is free).

3. ABThemes. This is a plugin by David Pankhurst which I have used on other blogs and always serves me well. Basically, it is a way to easily create a theme for your blog. It took me a few mins to set up the theme for this blog in the way that I want it…although still not sure about the coloring.

In addition, I made a few tweaks:

1. Added a ping list so that the ‘right’ places are informed when I make a post.

2. Changed the permalinks to /%category%/%postname% so that the search engines like.
